Meet Our Teachers

A little bit about us…

Alex

Alex has an MA in English/Linguistics from Arizona State University, BA in English/Creative Writing, Wisconsin state teaching license, TEFL/TESOL certificate, and 12 years of experience teaching in public schools, charter schools, and at the university level.

As a Suzuki trained violinist (Japanese ear training method), his teaching method was crafted from years of applying violin ear training learning principles to language acquisition. It helped him to realize that the most efficient way to learning another language wasn’t through grammar worksheets and talking about the language, it was learning intuitively like our native tongue, utilizing Krashen’s i+1, and using a teaching environment where the teacher functions as a peer and facilitator simultaneously.
